Gary Linekar has backed Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season, but predicts another close battle with Manchester City.
The Reds got off to a flying start on Friday night with 4-1 win over Norwich on Friday.
One concern will be an injury star goalkeeper Alisson Becker who limped off in the first half.
Linekar told talkSPORT: “Alisson they are reporting might be out for a while so that might make a difference.
“I think it will be very tight between the two.
“Before yesterday I was saying Liverpool and I shouldn’t be put off by the fact they won 4-1.
“You can’t change. I think it’s really hard to do it and lift yourself for three seasons on the bounce, which has proved to be the case in the Premier League.
“Pep Guardiola has shown that he just wins leagues year in and year out. I wouldn’t put it past him, but let’s go Liverpool.”
The former Spurs, Everton and England striker also made his predictions on who will finish in the top four this season.
He added: “Tottenham, they’ve added a bit in the window and have some good strength there. They are a good side, I think they will be in the top four again.

“Obviously City and Liverpool, you have to say they will be clear of the others again. I think the gap might close a little bit.
“Tottenham I fancy will be third and then one of the other three for fourth place. I might be wrong. Tottenham might not be as strong as they were last season but I think they will.”
