Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Croatia star Ivan Perisic on a season-long loan from Inter Milan.
The Bundesliga champions have an option to buy the winger permanently for £20million at the end of the season.
Perisic’s arrival could signal the end of Bayern’s pursuit of Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, for this season at least.
The 30-year-old, who starred at the 2018 World Cup as Croatia finished second, was close to joining Manchester United last summer and has previously been linked with Tottenham and Arsenal.

Perisic said: “I am very happy to be back in Germany. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in Europe. We want to attack not only in the Bundesliga and in the DFB Cup, but also in the Champions League.
Bayern’s Sports Director Hasan Salihamidzic added: “Ivan will help us immediately with his many years of experience at an international top level.
“He is technically strong and flexible in offence. I’m sure Ivan will integrate quickly as he already knows the Bundesliga and our coach Niko Kovac well.”
