Neymar’s return to Barcelona has moved a step closer as officials from Spain have travelled to France to discuss the transfer of the Brazilian, according to reports.
The 27-year-old left Barcelona in a stunning £200million deal back in 2017, but he looks set for a return to LaLiga after telling the French champions he wants to leave.
According to Sky Sports, Camp Nou chiefs are meeting with PSG on Tuesday to discuss a deal for the mercurial wide-man, and the Spanish giants are said to be willing to offer Philippe Coutinho as part of the transfer.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is a known admirer of Neymar and has has frequently attempted to sign the Brazil international in the past.
And after seemingly missing out on signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United, Perez is desperate to make one more marquee signing before the deadline, with Eden Hazard joining from Chelsea earlier this summer.

Furthermore, according to Marca, Lionel Messi has acted as a stumbling block in any potential move to the Spanish capital after ‘privately urging’ Neymar not to join his club’s bitter rivals in favour of a return to Camp Nou.
The pair spent four hugely successful seasons together, winning two La Liga titles, the Champions League and the Club World Cup.
Marca state that the relationship between Messi and Neymar is ‘excellent’ and Messi ‘feels a special affinity for his former teammate’.
Neymar did not feature in PSG’s 3-0 victory over Nimes on the weekend – and supporters vented their anger at the player by holding up banners telling the player to ‘get lost’.
Fans also chanted, ‘Neymar, hijo da puta’, which translates to, ‘Neymar, you son of a b****’.
After the game, Parc des Princes boss Tuchel, as quoted in L’Equipe, said: “It’s tricky. I don’t know what to say. I saw it on my colleagues’ smartphones because I did not hear them (the chants) during the match.
“Can I understand it? Yes and no. He’s still our player, my player, and I protect all my players.
“He’s in my dressing room. I can understand that not everyone has liked what he has said and done.”
