Jurgen Klopp gave his Champions League final team talk to his players while wearing Cristiano Ronaldo-branded boxers revealed Georginio Wijnaldum.
It left him and his team-mates in hysterics prior to the 2018 clash against Real Madrid in Kiev, as Klopp wanted to reduce tension among his squad ahead of their biggest game of the season.
Stuffing his shirt into the CR7 underwear is said to have left the players ‘laughing their heads off’.
Speaking exclusively to The Athletic, Wijnaldum shared the amusing story, adding it is not the first time he has joked like that.

“He did the meeting with his shirt stuffed inside his ‘CR7’ boxers. The whole changing room was on the floor laughing their heads off. That really broke the ice,” he said.
“Usually in those situations, everyone is serious and concentrated. But he was relaxed and made this joke.”
Despite the relaxed atmosphere, Liverpool were unable to lift the trophy as they lost 3-1, mainly in part due to a nightmare performance from Loris Karius in goal.
Gareth Bale scored twice, including a stunning overhead kick, and despite an equaliser from Sadio Mane, they left empty handed.
Liverpool only had to wait a year to get their hands on the trophy, beating Tottenham 2-0 in Madrid.
“He’s done hundreds of jokes likes that,” Wijnaldum said.
“If you see that your manager is really confident and relaxed, it will have an effect on players. He is a father figure in those things for the players. With his jokes and his body language, he takes the pressure off players.”
As a result of their win against Sprus, Liverpool will now contest the Super Cup against Europa League winners Chelsea.
The game is live on talkSPORT at 8pm and is the first time the game has been played between two English sides.
