Liverpool legends Ian Rush and John Barnes have been confirmed as FIFA 20 Ultimate Team Icons.

Both former football stars will be included in the latest FIFA instalment, which is set to be released on September 27.

Rush and Barnes have joined the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Ian Wright, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba, Ronald Koeman, and Carlos Alberto as new Icons for FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.

Liverpool’s official Twitter account said: “@Ian_Rush9 and @officialbarnesy are joining #FIFA20 as @EASPORTSFIFA Ultimate Team ICONS!

Rating prediction? #FIFA20.”

Rush won two European Cups and scored 351 goals in his three stints at Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Barnes won two top-flight trophies and netted 108 goals from midfield in a 10-year spell at Anfield.

Both players’ Ultimate Team Icon ratings are yet to be revealed, but are expected to be in the high 80s or early 90s given their success in football.

Ultimate Team was first introduced in FIFA 09 and has become one of the game’s most popular features.

The gameplay allows you to buy players with money earned from playing matches against opponents online or offline.
