Manchester City were denied a last-gasp goal by VAR as Lucas Moura came off the bench to salvage Spurs an unlikely point at the Etihad.

The hosts dominated large parts of the encounter and took the lead when Raheem Sterling nodded home a delightful Kevin de Bruyne delivery midway through the first-half.

Erik Lamela then equalised for the visitors with a goal out of nowhere, finishing past Ederson who was seemingly caught of position in goal.

Sergio Aguero restored the lead for the Citizens following another sublime De Bruyne pass before sub Lucas Moura rose highest to level the match once more.

But VAR sensationally overuled Gabriel Jesus’ winner in the dying embers of the game after Aymeric Laporte appeared to handle the ball in the area.
