Manchester United have offered defender Victor Lindelof a new deal that will see him earn £150,000-a-week.
It is believed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants his back four of Lindelof, Luke Shaw and new signings Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to be the foundation of his squad for years to come.
Lindelof joined Man United from Benfica for £31million two years ago. After a difficult start, he has now established himself as a key part of Solskjaer’s team.
The Swedish defender’s current deal is scheduled to expire in 2022, but The Sun report that United have offered Lindelof a new four-year deal with the option for a one-year extension.
It is set to see Lindelof earning over £150,000-per-week, more than double the amount he currently pockets.

United are determined to ensure they tie some of their key men down to long-term contracts, having lost Ander Herrera for free in the summer and with David de Gea’s deal due to expire in 2020.
Solskjaer sees Lindelof as a vital part of his current and future plans and recently spoke of the importance of having consistency at the back.
He said: “Your team will always play better if you’re settled, have a good foundation and you’re not conceding goals.
“I think the good teams I played in always had a strong base with the keeper and a settled back line.
