Shakhtar Donetsk vs Man City: What has been said?
Pep Guardiola: “Every time I play against Shakhtar the way they play is very similar. It’s really tough, especially the first one, that team was incredibly good. Always it is tough.
“Last season is one of the best teams I have ever seen in terms of organised 4-4-2 and it is quite similar now.
“They are incredible on the counter attack and playing short. Hopefully we can play in good rhythm. The first game in Champions League is important.
“We know last season we lost at home to Lyon and we went on and won all our games. Others didn’t, it’s a short competition.
“The way we play is not common in England, it’s always more difficult to play against Shakhtar, I have a lot of respect for this club.”
